Job Description:

The employee benefit specialist creates and maintains exceptional relationships with clients, providing year round support and guidance. The main purpose is to evaluate, design, and implement employee benefit packages. The employee benefit specialist is responsible for staying updated on new policies and laws to offer help, explanations, and new information to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Find and retain new contacts
  • Calculate and quote premium rates for recommended policies using census data
  • Generate proposal spreadsheets with optional plans to present to client
  • Stay updated on new laws and policies
  • Schedule appointments with clients to share updated information
  • Orientate administrative client and their employees
  • Complete and explain enrollments, renewals, and changes to accounts
  • Create informational brochures for employees
